The Kabeldon outdoor cabinet has been developed for the fast, efficient, and future-proof installation of low-voltage distribution systems. Thanks to the smart design, fewer materials are required, assembly is faster, and the cabinet remains easily accessible for maintenance and expansion. This makes the Kabeldon outdoor cabinet an excellent choice for companies looking for a sustainable and cost-effective solution for their energy infrastructure.
A key advantage of the Kabeldon outdoor cabinet is that no separate plinth is required. The CDC cabinets feature extendable legs that can be extended up to 700 mm deep. The legs can be placed directly in gravel or reinforced with concrete. The SDC is installed in the same way, but without adjustable legs. This shortens preparation time and lowers installation costs.
The fully removable front distinguishes the Kabeldon outdoor cabinet from traditional distribution cabinets. Installers can lay power against the back of the cabinet without first routing them through a base. This results in significant time savings, especially with heavy power cables and aluminium cables. The improved accessibility not only speeds up installation but also simplifies maintenance, inspections, and future modifications.
Aluminum cables are becoming increasingly common in modern energy infrastructure. That is why Kabeldon outdoor cabinets are prepared for aluminum cable connections as standard. The fuse holders are also specifically designed for the safe and reliable use of aluminum conductors. This provides a durable solution that meets the requirements of today's electrical distribution networks.
Energy networks are constantly evolving. That is why the Kabeldon outdoor cabinet has been designed with flexibility in mind. Additional fuse holders can be installed in approximately five minutes and, if required, can even be added while the system remains energized. This allows future expansions to be completed quickly without lengthy interruptions to the power supply. It makes the cabinet particularly suitable for projects where future capacity expansion is expected.
